At This Moment, It’s Us
CO-DIRECTOR, DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY, EDITOR
Shot entirely on 16mm film, At This Moment, It’s Us, tells the truth-inspired story of a young ballet dancer struggling with the absence of his father. After his rejection from a top ballet company shakes his confidence, Delvonte confronts the buried emotions he has long ignored, through a heartfelt conversation with his mother.
As well as highlighting the difficulties faced by single-parent households across the UK and beyond, the film strikes universal poignance in telling a story of perseverance, dreaming big, and pursuing what you love – just as Delvonte uncovers the strength & self-worth he has been searching for not through outward achievements, but through his mother’s single-handed and lifelong showering of love.
